Consortium for the Evaluation and Performance of HIV Incidence Assays (CEPHIA) 


The Consortium for the Evaluation and Performance of HIV Incidence Assays (CEPHIA) was formed in 2011, after members of an international working group meeting identified a need for a respository of well-characterized HIV specimens to aid in the development of new assays that could detect whether a newly diagnosed HIV infection was recently acquired.

Dr. Facente served as the project manager for the Consortium for the Evaluation and Performance of HIV Incidence Assays (CEPHIA) for more than a decade, providing high-level project coordination and analytic support to researchers focused on HIV incidence estimation around the world.
