Protocols for Partner Services and Linkages to Care

Riverside University Health System — Public Health

Project Years: 2019-2021

Riverside University Health System-Public Health (RUHS), Riverside County’s public health department, wanted to systematize and strengthen their systems for HIV care in the county as part of the federal Ending the HIV Epidemic (EtHE) initiative. After building a relationship with Facente Consulting as a technical assistance partner helping them to plan and implement their EtHE programming, RUHS reached out for project-specific consulting in a variety of areas.

Facente Consulting assisted RUHS in developing a protocol for implementing surveillance-based partner services and linkage to care. This entailed documenting the processes for ensuring that all people newly diagnosed with HIV are offered partner services and linkage to care assistance. We also aligned their local Ryan White Part A and B Standards of Care documents with the California State Ryan White Part B Standards of Care, which Facente Consulting had helped the California Department of Public Health develop in 2018.
