San Francisco AIDS Foundation’s new strategic plan had a core strategy to create a comprehensive network of health and wellness services for people over the age of 50 living with HIV. To help turn this strategic concept into a reality, organizational leadership reached out to Facente Consulting and asked them to create a “mini strategic plan” for their HIV and Aging work, taking into account the changing dynamics brought on by the the COVID-19 pandemic.
To achieve this, Facente Consulting planned and facilitated four virtual staff meetings with key staff in Aging programs to determine program objectives and develop standard language for the population served by the program’s work. By the end of the project, Facente Consulting had created a planning document that outlined priorities over the course of three periods: immediate (1-2 months), remainder of the current COVID-19 pandemic response phase (2-12 months), and after the “lockdown” and social distancing period had ended (12 months and beyond).
