Dr. Judy Tan is Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Center for AIDS Prevention Studies (CAPS) at the University of California, San Francisco. Her research combines quantitative and qualitative methods to develop novel interventions to reduce health disparities, particularly among sexual and gender minority people of color.
In 2019, Dr. Tan reached out to Facente Consulting for ongoing assistance with manuscript development, literature reviews, and technical editing to support grant submissions, helping to move her academic portfolio forward and support her overall research goals. Over three years, Facente Consulting conducted literature reviews to assist in the submission of five grants to the National Institutes of Health, and assisted with the development, editing, and/or formatting of eight articles for peer-reviewed publication. Due to Autumn Albers’s significant scientific contributions through the course of substantive editing, Dr. Tan invited her to join the authorship team of one of those articles.
