Project INVEST, funded by the CDC, is an innovative approach to recruiting, training, and retaining employees within the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH). This federal investment comes at a time when health departments and their staffs are overstretched and underresourced.
Facente Consulting is working with SFDPH’s Center for Learning and Innovation to develop the initial evaluation strategy, measures and metrics for looking at hiring, recruitment, and retention among SFDPH employees. Through the creation of these measures and tools, we will be able to train permanent internal evaluation staff who will take over monitoring and make this project sustainable within the department.
