Project INVEST, funded by the CDC, supports the recruiting, training, and retaining of employees within the San Francisco Department of Public Health’s (SFDPH) Population Health Division. This federal investment comes at a time when health departments and their staffs are overstretched and underresourced.
Facente Consulting worked with SFDPH’s Center for Learning and Innovation for a six-month period to develop the initial evaluation strategy, measures and metrics for looking at hiring, recruitment, and retention among Population Health Division employees. Through this short-term collaboration, we helped prepare the project’s newly hired internal evaluation staff to monitor and evaluate the project over its full cycle.
