Dara joined the Facente Consulting team in January 2019 to help manage our work portfolio and strategically grow the business. She has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from UC Santa Barbara, and a Master of Public Health in community health from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. Upon graduation, Dara worked for seven years as a public health consultant, managing program evaluation, strategic planning, and technical assistance projects for Harder+Company Community Research and later as a freelancer. In 2006, she joined the San Francisco Department of Public Health as a health educator, steadily rising through the ranks and ultimately overseeing two large federal HIV-related grants for the Community Health Equity and Promotion Branch, managing a team of six HIV prevention staff.
